{Engaged} Steve & Casey
As the saying goes, "The couple that are beasts and lift weights together, stay together", right? ....Maybe that's not the exact quote, but it definitely works for this Crossfit couple! Being a crossfitter myself, I was super excited when Steve told me that they wanted to take engagement photos at their Box in Scituate, Ma. (Shout out to Crossfit 545!) We had a blast coming up with different ideas and brainstorming together. From kisses while snatching to side by side hand stand push-ups, I definitely put these two to work! Take that, standard WOD! YOU try kissing and holding a squat snatch long enough for the photographer to get a perfect shot... it wasn't easy! LOL

{Married} Emily & Mark
It's been a long time comin' for these two love birds- even back to our softball "Snatchin' Balls" days, Emily & Mark have been quite the match. It was an honor for me to be invited to shoot their special day! (finally, right Em? haha)
Although it was an overcast day, the rain stayed at bay until the end of the night. These two, for as long as I have known them, do not need smoke screens and fireworks to show that they love one another and you know what? LESS always proves to be MORE! Emily hand crafted her own center pieces that were placed on gorgeous dark wood tables and they had a beautiful birch tree arch way down by the lake for their ceremony. But, in all honesty, the only decoration these two needed was the love and presence of their closest family and friends-- that is EXACTLY what they had... AND let me tell you, it was the most beautiful decoration of their entire day.
Sometimes some of us need to remember that love isn't about the bells and whistles, it's not about the show. Love is about the people you surround yourself with. Happiness is the time you share with those people who are most important. Everything else is just a luxury. Love itself will always be the best decoration in the room and for Emily & Mark, it shined on through the night like thousand's of fireworks on the 4th of July.
