A Cinderella Story

The nerves were setting in. Not even 1 million applications of make-up could keep her mind off of the butterflies, even if it was side -tracking her for just a few seconds. Her friends and family helped her get dressed, laughing and smiling all the while, and then it became real when she saw herself- her fairy tale was coming true.

He got ready just a little way down the road from her. They started the party early, joking and laughing with one another. Even though he wouldn't show it, he knew deep down that the jokes and the beers were just a cover for his nerves, too.  And the second he saw her walk down that aisle, all inhibitions were lost, his guard came down, and he then realized- his fairy tale was coming true.

Andrew & Ellee

Andrew and Ellee were married on a beautiful August evening at a beautiful venue- The Spencer Country Inn. The sun was setting just perfectly and the air hung warmly as refreshing summer breezes drifted by. The crowd watched intently as they pledged their vows for one another, finally becoming husband and wife, and for the rest of the night, they all were living in a fairy tale, too.

I have grown up with Andrew and Ellee since middle school days. It was so special for me to see such a long lasting relationship finally come together officially where they will only last an eternity longer. I had a blast taking your pictures, especially because we were so lucky to have an awesome 50's Woody Wagon as a prop! Not to mention the kick-ass bridal party, too ;)

Thank you guys so much for letting me be a part of your day! Many years of joy and happiness to you both!

Of New Beginnings, Bigger Families, and Lots of Laughs

Hair spray and steam from the curling iron filled the air as they sat around the table and talked of things to come. They drank coffee and asked about each other's well-being. They laughed about stories past and stories of the future and mostly they smiled because they were surrounded by something most important-- their family.  The girls in the other room were helping each other get dressed, talked about hair, the wedding, and poked fun at the guys- laughing all the while, and smiling because they too felt like one big family.

As she put her dress on, it finally became real. Gasps and happy screeches filled the bedroom. This was it. She was finally marrying the man of her dreams, her best friend, and her soul mate.

As they waited for their time to leave for the ceremony, once again they all talked, laughed a smiled just a little bit longer just for the simple, important fact that after the day was over, their family was going to be much larger and much happier.

Heather & Jimmy

Heather and Jimmy were married on a beautiful summer day in August. Many guests filled the seats set out for them in the venue's yard and others gathered around the surrounding stone walls as they waited for the beautiful bride to make her way down the aisle. The warm sun beat down on them as they sealed their vows and kissed for the first time as a married couple. Happy tears were shed and smiles were held for what seemed like years. They were now all one big family. And they never would have had it any other way.

As I know Heather through my boyfriend's family, after 6 years I can gladly say I consider her and her family to be my family as well. They have welcomed me into the family with open arms and they are always keeping me laughing and smiling when we get together.

Thank you so much Heather and Jimmy for allowing me to be a part of your special day! Keep on smiling and laughing. Cheers and best wishes for the future! Hope to see you all very soon!

Love and Laughter = The Best Medicine

She was getting ready with her best friends and family for one of the happiest days of her life. Some shots and PBR may or may not have been involved, but they didn't need it to have a great time together. They already knew the second August 11th, 2012 started that it was going to be unforgettable. They stopped to pose for silly pictures and got all sassy (because those make for the best Facebook profile pics), they talked, laughed and made finishing touches while they waited for their time to begin the ceremony.

Deb & Mike

Perfect weather and gorgeous sunlight poured through the church's tall windows. The ceremony was short and sweet. Happy laughs and applause rang throughout the audience and bridal party as they sealed the deal with their first kiss as husband and wife. And finally, it was time to love, laugh, and celebrate once more. Even as it started to down pour, not one of them stopped laughing and smiling.

Thank you Deb and Mike for letting me be a part of your special day. And most of all thank you for all the laughs, you guys were a lot of fun! Congratulations and best wishes for the future!

Super Sassy

They were such a FUN bridal party!

This was their cake topper!

See what I mean? Nothing but laughs :)

The Calm After the Storm

Everything was set up and ready to go. They stood around, made finishing touches, pinned on boutonnieres and made small chat with close family as they waited for their time to go...

Then the clouds rolled in.

It was thundering, lightening and pouring rain. The stress set in.. "what are we going to do?"

In all the chaos, they knew exactly what to do- Adapt. They had to adapt to their situation, they had to adapt to the rain- just as we spend our whole lives doing. We adapt to our surroundings, our jobs, the climate, we adapt to change and most of all we adapt for the people we love.

Once adapted, everything ran smoothly. Everything else went just as planned and in the end, it did not matter that it was raining on their special day, because everyone they loved was there no matter what the circumstance. And it reminded me... love always prevails.... even through our rainiest of days.

Heather and Jenna

Heather and Jenna were married on a hot, humid and a previously sunny saturday in August. Despite the rain that rolled in, friends, family and a few adaptations made for a perfect day. Not to mention, after the storm, there was BEAUTIFUL summer sun and a gorgeous haze from the rain and humidity that made for perfect lighting!

Thank you Heather and Jenna for including me in your special day and most of all thank you for showing all of us that no matter what life throws at you, the people you love will always matter most.

Here's a little sneak peek from the day and that gorgeous lighting I mentioned ;)

This little stud was cracking everyone up! :)

Gorgeous light, right?
